Accommodations: Manhattan
There are several hotels in Manhattan that may be more affordable than standard options. Here are two possibilities.
West Village Euro Hostel
Meatpacking District (25 minutes by subway or car to Mark Morris Dance Center)
Located in one of Manhattan's hottest neighborhoods, the West Village Euro Hostel is a converted rooming house for sailors and maintains the maritime decor. Rooms are tiny, and feature bunk beds (if sharing) but the price can be good for New York and there's ambiance galore. Some rooms do not have bathrooms, which are communal (and received good reviews from recent visitors).
Average rate: $299 per night
Menno House
Reserved for students and non-profit workers, Menno House offers three guest rooms at reasonable rates.
Leo House
West 20s (35 minutes by subway or car to Mark Morris Dance Center)

Civilian Hotel
Theater District (35 minutes by subway to the Mark Morris Dance Center). Definitely not a budget hotel, Civilian envisions itself as a microcosm of the Theater District, abuzz with creativity and innovation. Inspired by New York soul and the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, Civilian brings the energy of the city indoors. Artists and audiences converge in spaces that have been dreamed up by architect David Rockwell—each room, restaurant, and outdoor hangout curated to reflect the spirit of the city.
